For over 130 years, Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) has been building vessels that sail the world seas. During the last decade we have concentrated our efforts on building technically high-quality naval vessels. Many find their way to the Royal Netherlands Navy, but also to customers in other parts of the world.

  

Over the past few years, DSNS has grown to become a state-of-the-art shipyard. Innovation in the areas of shipbuilding continues to take on an increasingly prominent position. By applying a thematic approach, from engineering through to production, technical work and highly skilled handiwork are combined. 

 

DSNS is a member of the Damen Shipyards Group, the largest employer in the shipbuilding business in The Netherlands, currently employing approximately 8000 people, working in over 30 companies all over the world.

 

This allows us not only to build vessels in an increasing number of countries, but also gives us the opportunity to offer our employees the possibility to further skill themselves in a national and international environment. We have been able to achieve this position thanks to our enthusiastic and well-educated employees. In Vlissingen as well as abroad they display their qualities on a daily basis.
