Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) located in Vlissingen, is specialized in the design and construction of naval and other complex vessels for its customers around the world. DSNS is a member of the Damen Shipyards Group, the largest shipbuilding company in The Netherlands and with more than 35 shipyards worldwide, leading in the industry at home and abroad.

(senior) Projectleiders

Key responsibilities

We are looking for (senior) project leaders who are capable of transcribing a signed building contract for Engineering and Production. Depending on your experience you will be expected to work on large or smaller projects both in The Netherlands as well as abroad.

 

The project leader will be expected to balance the clients' interests, who have to be satisfied with the end product, with Damen Schelde Naval shipbuilding's interest. You will independently deliver a project plan and manage the various aspects of the contract.

 

You'll put your commercial acumen to use ensuring that projects are delivered to agreed timescales and budgets and the highest possible quality. You will keep in close contact with clients, suppliers and subcontractors and you will coordinate internal project meetings. Obviously you will not have to perform all these tasks on your one, but together with a project team that you will manage.

Profile

• A Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering and Shipbuilding
• Proven experience with shipbuilding
• Managerial experience
• The ability to plan and organize
• Strong and skilful communicator
• Capable of working under pressure
• Skilfully wrap up projects
• Good knowledge of the English language
