Mercuur presents an effective special purpose ship for torpedo recovery and testing. The ship is designed for extremely low underwater noise (UWN) levels. It has workshops on board. The torpedo recovery equipment has been tested and adapted and provides a good working system up to Bf6. Navigation and communication systems are state of the art. Mercuur presents an excellent low-risk short track solution for a Navy that requires a torpedo recovery vessel.
