Farewell to fourth corvette for Indonesia

Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding has had the pleasure of building 4 naval vessels for Indonesia and with the departure of the last corvette, the KRI Frans Kaisiepo, we have concluded a wonderful period.

It is with a great deal of pleasure that we look back on the fine relationship and collaboration that existed with the Indonesian superintendants and the ships' crew.

On Saturday, April 11 the last ship and her crew embarked for their home port of Surabya.

As token of their gratitude for the hospitality received and pleasant stay in Vlissingen, the ship's commander, said farewell, by sailing along the city's promenade, amid great public interest from the Vlissingen population that had gathered to wave the ship and its crew goodbye.
